Sensitive data, processed with your explicit consent

Using Ner Hashem may reveal a religious affiliation: this is special-category data under GDPR article 9. We only process it with your explicit consent, given when you create your space (art. 9(2)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time by deleting the space.

Relatives added by the family first receive an invitation: no reminder is sent to them until they accept.

Data we process

Account: email address, language, consent date.

Family: name, rite (minhag), language, time zone, administrators.

Departed: name, Hebrew name, sex, dates of death and burial, relationship, photo (optional).

Grave: cemetery, location, landmark, practical information, GPS position and photos (optional).

Relatives: name, relationship, language, email, phone (optional), time zone, remembered loved ones, preferences and consent.

Delivery log: date, recipient and status of each reminder.

What it is used for

Computing the remembrance calendar, sending reminders, showing shared pages and managing your space. No advertising, no resale, no profiling, no third-party trackers.

Who can see it

The family administrators; each relative, for their own reminders; people who receive a shared link (only what the page shows — the exact location and photos can be hidden, and the link turned off at any time).

Our processors, within their mission: host [to be completed], Brevo (email delivery, European Union), photo storage [EU region to be confirmed].

Security

Relatives' contact details encrypted in the database (AES-256-GCM), passwordless sign-in with one-time codes, secure session cookie, shared links with long tokens, not indexed by search engines and revocable.

Retention

Family data is kept as long as the space exists, then permanently deleted as soon as the administrator asks (Settings › My data). Sign-in codes: 10 minutes. Sessions: 90 days.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, portability (full export in one click in Settings), objection and withdrawal of consent. Relatives manage their preferences and unsubscribe in one click from every email.
